The Commonwealth of Lorc’h has passed a new Constitution formalising its new status as a self-governing nation in free association with the Kingdom of Vistaria.
Lorc’h is governed by its own laws and Constitution, with Her Majesty the Kora also serving as the Kora of Lorc’h.
Lorchese law will be under the jurisdiction of the Royal Court and the Royal Vistarian Police, with the Kingdom handling Lorchese foreign affairs on behalf of its government.
Her Majesty the Kora, Willow of Vistaria and Lorc’h said:
I am most pleased to see the Koruship in Lorc’h unified with the Koruship in Vistaria, as we await the constitutional referendum in Hokoria.
Lorc’h’s status as a self-governing nation in free association with the Kingdom is an excellent arrangement for the people of Lorc’h, ensuring that it can thrive with the full support of the Kingdom.
His Royal Highness, Prince Arōnis of Lorc’h said:
Today marks a significant turning point in the history of both Lorc’h and Vistaria. After our initial failed attempt at something similar in March, the chance that this would ever happen seemed impossibly far, though today it has become a reality.
I believe this is the best possible path for both nations going forwards; this may be the key to unlocking the best possible outcome for Lorc’h and beneficial to Vistaria also.
The new Constitution of the Commonwealth of Lorc’h comes into force on September 17, 2026 at 00:00 UTC+1.
