Yesterday, the October 2026 free association referendum in the Hokorian State concluded with Hokorian citizens voting in favour of free association with the Kingdom of Vistaria.

Her Majesty the Kora, Willow of Vistaria, Lorc'h and Hokoria said:

Though a compromise from my original proposal, this is an excellent outcome for the Hokorian State.
The Hokorian people have seen that there are issues with governance in the Hokorian State and voted for change. However, as I have previously stated, free association simply delays the inevitable and will not result in the Hokorian Government becoming more active.
I will be documenting activity in Vistaria and Hokoria through weekly reports to make it clear to the Hokorian people and the Hokorian Parliament that free association is not enough.
Hokoria's future is as a constituent Nation of this Kingdom.

With citizens voting in favour of the arrangement, Vistaria will become responsible for foreign affairs and diplomacy, defence and security, the administration of justice and the administration of elections in Hokoria.
