Kora's statement on Hokorian referendum polls opening

At midnight today (October 16, 2026) the Hokorian people went to the polls in the free association referendum.

Her Majesty the Kora of Vistaria, Lorc'h and Hokoria said:

Today, the people of the Hokorian State go to the polls to decide whether it should enter free association with the Kingdom of Vistaria.

While this is not the full integration I originally proposed, I believe it is a positive step forward. I still hope to see Hokoria eventually join Vistaria as a constituent state, and that remains a long-term ambition of mine.

This arrangement ultimately makes running Hokoria much more manageable for me, while also taking a step forward in making our elected Government responsible for actually governing the country.

Free association allows some of the responsibilities which have continued to fall on me to be handled through Vistaria, while giving the Government a clearer and greater role in Hokoria's day-to-day affairs.
